NOTES MAY 2006 Back to the archives. 5-28-06 Wow. It's really feeling like summer now! Memorial Day flag gaurding the "Hex-aGarden" It's all coming together now. The new driveway garden. A Bee. Last weekend..looking at a house for sale.... Nat wants it! Yesterday after brunch. Hostas from Lois coming back strong in the driveway garden. 5-26-06 Well, we managed to get Don's birthday into celebration mode by the end of the day..started out kind of stressful for me, but Don seemed to have a nice day. He didn't have any web work to do, so he putzed around all day, practising his disc golf shots and pondering things, I guess. I got all the errands done - dump run, redemtion center for the cans, birthday present shopping, grocery shopping, baked a cake, made a 3-bean salad, wrapped gifts, vacummed, and later we entertained Mom & Dad for 1/2 an hour or so..Don enjoyed his gifts (circular saw, Holy Bible, socks, soap, candle, paper lanterns, more solar lights, and the latest Al Franken book), and soon enough, Dwight and Saeed made it up. Of course, all the food I bought was essentially unnessecary, as Saeed brought enough food to feed an army, and he cooked up a huge, Morroccon salmon meal that truely rocked. This morning, he's allready prepared another huge meal and it's sitting in the kitchen awaiting to be eaten. I have the feeling my 3-bean salad might not ever get eaten. 5-15-06 Well, the rains have come. They started up last Tuesday, and the forcast predicts this current rain pattern will stick around until at least this coming Saturday! Be prepared for lots of Grumpiness in this coming week if you live in New England. It's not as bad for us. There are reports of rivers overflowing and basements flooding and evacuations just 20 miles south of here. Phew for us, bummer for the effected areas. New annual flowers. 5-7-06 This year's May is turning out to be a lot sweeter than last year's May..remember all that rain and all of that water in our basement? No deal this year, just some occasional sprinkles, keeping the earth moist and greening everything up. Look how green it's all become! I took these photos through the office window at 7:30 am today. These videos are postable on blogs and can be sent via email easily. Anyway, you've all probably known about it for awhile now.. It's getting so easy to "publish" yourself! Crazy man. 5-1-06 Ok, so I'm un-original. Back to the white background. Tho' the black looks cool, I really must discipline myself from having too many different background colors.
