NOTES MARCH 2006
Back to the archives.
3-27-06 It's so great to have a day off and experience dusk up here on the hill. Late March brings us to the 2nd year anniversery of the beginning of this whole adventure. To witness the sunsetting and the dusk coming in on a somewhat tepid, cloudless day, is truely a special gift.
3-26-06 I just realized that I popped some crocus bulbs in my front garden last fall, and they are actually coming up now! Cool, can't wait to see what colors they are. Though it's been dry, it's still a bit chilly, and today we've got a bitter wind. I'm looking out the window now and I could swear I'm seeing snow flakes.. but that can not be, as it is over 40 degrees right now. It's just that damn wind and those stubborn clouds putting a damper on the whole spring party thing. Wierd weather things happen up here on the hill, there is no denying that.
Don had a gig with Pam Baker Band last night, so I stayed home and cleaned up some of my band pages. I've also added three new mp3's on the Krush Truck page.
3-20-06 Woah, guess I haven't updated in a while. It's just been so damn cold, and I've been kinda bored..just working, coming home, eating a nice dinner, watching shows or playing games. I'm also on my My Space page a lot more, because it's just easier. In fact, it'd be great if more of you signed up, 'cause then I'd be able to look at some of your pages! It's basically a free web page, not much to lose.

Getting down to the scrubs (but, there's more in the shed.)
Still trying to get comfortable with the new iMac computer..things are better, but different, and take some getting used to. My job has been really slow in the last few weeks, as another big store has opened up in the neighborhood and a lot of people are shopping there now. Really, it's been the talk of the town, and everybody has an opinion about what's going to happen. I'm just grateful to have a job right now, as much as it kinda sucks, too! Ha ha. Might as well make hay while the sun is shining, to quote somebody...

My collection of childhood equestrian awards.
I wish I could say I've got something going on with music, but right now I don't. It's kind of depressing, but Don The Great says it's just a little break until something else gets cooking.. That, or we actually start recording something for real. Which might be something, but then again, it might not. Meanwhile, we'll just keep fishing for cool, groovy drummers. Sigh. Luckily, we've got Krush Truck & The Rotators & The Steve Bailey Band to keep us entertained every once in a while, and Don's got the Pam Baker gig.
I do have a plan in my head for the back yard now, though. If we can get motivated to start digging up the dirt, we could have a nice veggie garden and a new seating area out in the sun spot on the back hill...someday. The disc golf course will just have to work around it! Ha.

The collection of discs...ready for take-off.
Word has it, that my sister has finally found a nice house to rent out in LIttleton, Ma.! What a nice retreat from multi-unit apartment dwelling it will be! Congratulations to Miss Clariss.
3-5-06 Ah! What a beautiful day, inching closer towards the mildness of spring every minute! We were blessed with no wind and lots of sun, so we got our butts outside and gathered some "kin-ling". Later, we made a trip to the dump and scored a brand new microwave! Nice and small and white, and it works! One of these days, I'm going to take photos of all the cool stuff I've acquired at the transfer station. It's amazing!

This is a good spot to find dried sticks.

Snow melting 'round the tree bases.

Soaking up some rays.

Bright blue sky.

Found Nash's lost disc!
3-3-06 I ran out for errands the other day and brought along the camera.

Birch field path.

Living off the grid.

Ice on the pond.

Two days before the grand opening.

Ski trails on the mountain.

"The Farm" from the West.

The Earth is not flat.

Low snow-fall amounts.
3-1-06 Woohoo March! Right on. Moving right along towards spring. Yes.
Painting the living room wall was fun.
