NOTES JULY 2005

7-28-05 Don finished Mom's new garden gate!

Cool, huh? I know she'll flip out when she sees it.

7-26-05 The "rents" took off for 2 weeks to visit Ireland, so Don & I are left alone up on the hill for a while.

Here they are just before they left for Logan..so cute! Never fear, I do believe the "hill" is going to get over run with family & friends by Friday.

7-21-05 That baby bird on the home page is one of the 2 blues eggs I had up earlier in the month. One of the babies is already gone! They grow so fast.

We've been keeping very busy, what with gigs, work, family parties (happy birthday Sista Crick!), and the usual house chores. One thing Don is plugging away at is getting wood for this winter.

He estimates that we'll need about 7 more of these piles! Gulp. That's a lot of splittin'. Meanwhile, the area is lush and the weather has been nice and hot. Here's a bonus: a pretty pink weed near the fence.

Last Sunday, we got to go over to Kezar Lake (where Stephen King has a place we're told) and visit my friend Katie & her hub Sean at her parent's new vacation home. What a sweet place! We even got to take a boat tour. The water was excellent, the sky so blue. Heaven, I tell ya. Here's a pic from their backyard..

Mom & Dad are taking off to Ireland for 2 weeks on Monday, and you know what? I'm going to miss them. Yup. But lucky for me, Sista Crick, and hopefully nephew Nick & brother Nye will come up and stay at their house for some of that time! Yeah! Anybody else want to come up, just come on up, while the weather's still perfect! Sad to say, but summer is half-way over.

7-15-05 Added more pics from Harrison on the gigs page, if your interested. Zdad took the cool images.

7-14-05 Had a sweet time last night at the Harrison gig..I'll add more tonight..got to go to work now.

7-12-05 The All-Star Game has just started and the grill is cooking and yes, it is summer. Here's a few images from the last 2 days.

7-8-05 Thanks for visiting. We've got a quite weekend coming up... This is the weekend of the North Atlantic Blues Festival up in Rockland, Maine...initially, Don & I were going to be there, but things have changed so neither one of us is! That's ok, we always find things to do around here. Saw wood, and I'm not talking about snoring, is a big priority. And I've got to sort through the chaotic recordings we made last weekend with "Krush Truck" so we can burn off a copy and send it to Dewey and Nash. Or Jimmy Jam Dog will get very upset.

My job is ok. My fingers and hands are getting all scraped up, cut, bruised and worst of all, strained... Not a good thing if you want to play guitar. And my knees are feeling the strain as well. Today should be another busy day down at Corn City...

I bet you all didn't know that Don can walk on water.

7-5-05 Had a great 4th of July weekend with family and friends. Here's a few pics.
