NOTES DECEMBER 2006

12-26-06 Well, another day of indulgence has passed.. i.e. Christmas day. Christmas Eve day and night, we hung out over at Mom & Dad's..

Nick with his crutch.. he broke his ankle a few weeks back.

Crick slicing up some amazing chocolate cake.

Mom after her church service.

Nye coming up between on-line chess games!

Bunky all tuckered out under our tree.

Christmas morning, Don & I had our own little Christmas.. we both enjoyed our exchanged gifts during a kick ass breakfast.

Then we headed over to Mom & Dad's again for more fun.

I'm so happy that I asked for today off from work.. Nick, Crick & Sean have left for home on this snowy morning, and Nye is hanging out for a few more days.. Tomorrow, I'm heading into work for a while, then we're going to Bray's at night to play a set.. Thursday we'll get to see Nat & Eryn and have another round of gift exchange! Wow.

This may be my last post for the year.. so.. Happy New Year gang, thanks again for visiting my silly site, and may the New Year bring lot's o' joy for you all!! Love, Kate..

12-18-06 The weekend went by WAY too fast.. Friday night, Don went out to play with Pam Baker & The SG's, and I had a visit and a good jam session with JJ down in the basement. Saturday, we went out and cut down a tree.. ok, just kidding, we bought it at Mark's Lawn & Garden. A real looker, this one. Don got the lights up before he left for his Saturday night gig, and I got most of the little ornaments up later on. Sunday, we drove up to Lewiston for an open house holiday gathering at my boss's house... that was nice.. and Don was a real sweetie about coming and missing most of the Pat's game on tv.

On his way out the door to South Portland for the night.

I'm off to work at the Corn Shop in a bit, and we're trying not to panic about getting our holiday gifts and packages and cards and mail-outs and what-not all squared away. If you're reading this and you don't get a little something from us by Christmas, I know you won't take it personally. I'm just a little flakey.

See?

12-14-06 This morning, it feels like early spring.. the snow is melting, the sun is shining, the air feels almost balmy. Don tried out the cross-country skis a few days ago, and he left some tracks.

12-12-06 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

12-08-06 We got snow today! Maybe three or four inches? Though they say this weekend will be very warm, so it should melt soon.

12-04-06 A very cold day, and windy. In fact, we had snow flakes in the morning! Right on cue, December 4th. Don got swamped with web work, and I zoomed downtown to work at the shop, in a trance listening to my new BJM mp3 mixes I burned off of MySpace. That last sentence was so gay. He he.

12-03-06 A short, but sweet weekend, as the air drops to freezing, and the urge to add wreaths to the outside of the house comes through.

12-01-06 Ah, the smell of eucalyptus and pine is in the air.. it must be the holidays.

Hey, I made a new MySpace music page. Here it is.
