NOTES AUGUST 2007 Back to the archives. 8-19-07 Shhh... don't tell anybody, but I'm "on vacation!" Here's what I've done so far. I had a great night of girl talk and chardonnay and pizza with new friend Angi on Friday night after work. Saturday morning brought fierce winds to the hill, maybe 40 MPH? I had walked the yard in the wind before Don awoke (he had to play in Waterville the night before and got back late) and everything seemed to be sticking to the ground. A half hour later, Don was up and came into the house and told me the gazebo had been flung into the woods! It got destroyed- bent metal and torn canvas. Even the little loops got torn out of the corners. A sad day indeed. We were not prepared for the strong wind! Later, the wind died down and I unceremoniously took it to the transfer station to rest in peace. It was groovy while it lasted Said! That left us with what to do with the giant glass patio table and four chairs, so we made some adjustments on the patio and sure enough, now it seems like that's where the set should have been all along! Don went off to Bath for another gig, and I stayed home and did a little catch-up and house cleaning (a little) for our next overnight guest...an old dear friend! Stay tuned.... P.S. Everybody's moving in slow motion. It's hard to get much done.. however, I did add a new video to my YouTube page.. It's an outake of raw footage of a bunch of dudes putting at the chains in the dark. Here's the link (59 seconds).....
