NOTES AUGUST 2005 Back to the archives. 8-23-05 AH! Summer's almost over! September is real nice up here, though. We had a great visit from Dwight & Said over the weekend. We jammed, snarfed up Said's amazing meals, played disc golf and poker. Good times. Sunday & Monday, Don and I, among other things, re-organized the barn, and leveled off the "floor". Here's how it looked before we started. 8-17-05 It's exactly the middle of August today. Since we did not have visitors this past weekend, here's some projects finished in the last few days. A puzzle of Amsterdam. Weeded and re-worked the rockwall corner "garden." Stacked some wood. 8-12-05 Well, it's Friday...Don's already out mowing the back fields, taking advantage of the cooler morning temps. We're not sure if we'll be having a disc golf tournament back there this weekend or not, but he likes to keep "the greens" prepped, just in case. Anyone coming up this weekend.....hello? I wouldn't mind tearing myself away from our little paradise for a day or two and visiting the old digs in Mass.. but I can't see it happening this month.. August has been a slow, lazy month, that's for sure. Though already, I can see a few little leaves dropping off the trees, signs of the impending turn of season just a few weeks away. Hard to believe. 8-7-05 AH! Summer! This is livin'! What else can I say? All is good in the 'hood. Nick plays disc golf with his cousins Tim and Sam on Monday (8/1/05) afternoon. 8-2-05 We had a splendid visit from Craig, Nash, Eryn, and Dewey, and meanwhile we've still got sistah Crick & nephew Nick staying next door, with Nick's 2 cousins Tim & Sam (very nice boys). Krush Truck got in one long practice on Friday night and one one hour practice in on Sunday afternoon.. Good & goofy times. Back to the archives.
